PAIA Manual
Prepared in accordance with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, No 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
1. Introduction
MyFacility is a private body providing Medical Practice Management SaaS solutions. This manual assists individuals in requesting access to records held by MyFacility, as required by PAIA and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

3. The Information Regulator
The Information Regulator has updated the guide on how to use PAIA. Any queries relating to this guide can be directed to the Information Regulator of South Africa:

4. Records Held by MyFacility
We hold the following categories of records:
- Company Records: Financial records, statutory company documents, operational policies.
- Client Records: Subscription details, billing information, and SLA agreements for subscribing practices.
- System Data (As Operator): Encrypted patient databases. Note: Requests for specific patient medical records must be directed to the responsible Medical Practice, not MyFacility.
5. Request Procedure
To request access to a record held by MyFacility:
- Use the prescribed Form 2 (Request for Access to Record) available on the Information Regulator's website.
- Address your request to the Information Officer via the email address provided in Section 2.
- Provide sufficient details to enable us to identify the record and the requester.
- Pay the prescribed request fee (if applicable).
6. Grounds for Refusal
Access to records may be refused based on grounds outlined in PAIA, including but not limited to the mandatory protection of privacy of a third party, commercial information of a third party, and confidential information of the company.
